"What are the best zodiac matches?"

First I would like to state that I believe any zodiac match can work well as long as both parties are contributing to its benefit.

Second, one's natal chart plays a much bigger influence than their sun sign alone.

However, there may be some matches that may be more naturally inclined toward amiability than others.
Typically those in the same element may instinctively click with you, however you may exhibit the same good or bad traits.  Air tends to fuel Fire, and Earth tends to provide stability for Water.  They can easily balance each other out with good temperament.
However, if I were to be asked my favorite matches based on sun sign alone, I may name these pairings in no particular order.

1.Cancer & Scorpio- Water Trine
If this match can open up to one another and let their guards down, they can have a beautiful and deep soulful connection that spans decades.  Of course since they are both water signs, emotions run deep and hurt feelings could easily be caused by either party so it is in the best interest for both parties to be more forgiving for the relationship to grow.

2. Gemini & Sagittarius - Fire & Air Opposition
Okay, so they may be opposites on the astrological chart, and commonly opposites attract, but it’s just too easy to see so many similarities or shared interests here.  Geminis are quick witted, as can be Sagittarius and these two can enjoy traveling and learning together on various adventures in life as partners in crime.  Seldom will this couple be bored.

3. Virgo & Libra - Earth & Air Semi-Sextile
Logic blends these two together so naturally.  Virgos are giving and kind, and Libras are social and warm.  These two can throw amazing parties with the best grace.  Virgo’s strive for order keeps Libra grounded, and Libra can help the overly tense Virgo loosen up and let their hair down.  They may even be a book-lover couple.

4. Cancer & Taurus - Water & Earth Sextile
Food.  That’s all I need say.  Well, maybe not all.  Cancers are typically amazing cooks, as are Taurus’, and they share a love of the home.  They are both romantic and enjoy snuggling up on the sofa with an extraordinary meal and a good show.  Or they both may have some great fun planning and redecorating their shared living spaces.  Taurus is the stable rock that Cancer is looking to hold on to in a rough tide, and Taurus enjoys the sincerity and compassion of the tender Cancer.  And both signs rank as the top two biggest cuddlers!

5. Aries & Sagittarius - Fire Trine
GO GO GO GO GO GO GO!!!!! That’s the mentality that locks these two impulsive go-getters together.  Aries is a highly active sign, as is Sagittarius and this couple is always out and about doing something.  They may even have an adorable competitive rivalry.  Aries can be self-centered and love to stir the pot, but Sagittarius can leap bounds over Aries’ attempt and come back with quick wit or a nonchalant shrug as they are unaffected.  Neither has to worry about catering to sensitive emotions, and can be free to fully express themselves in an arrogant or bold way.  They may get in heated arguments, but are quick to apologize and return to normal without disdain.
